Sunday Worship

Worship is central to the life of our church. In the worship of God we express our commitment to the person, work and ministry of Jesus Christ. We gather in prayer, song, and the Word proclaimed.

Our primary worship service is at 10:00 a.m. on Sunday morning. It is a classic sanctuary service with a robed choir, hymnals, responsive readings, and a sermon. Also on Sunday is a non-traditional, less formal service at 5:00 p.m. We call it “Underground Church”

We celebrate two sacraments: Baptism and the Lord’s Supper. Communion is served at the 10 a.m. sanctuary service on the first Sunday of each month, and is open to all who feel moved to participate, of any age or background.

Fellowship

We believe that to better love and support one another,
we need to know and understand each other.

Many fellowship activities provide opportunities for fun and ways to grow as a church family:

  • Refreshments and fellowship following
    Sunday morning sanctuary service

  • Intergenerational service projects

  • Ladies Luncheons monthly

  • Get acquainted meals in homes

  • Thanksgiving meal

  • Christmas caroling

  • Christmas Eve reception

  • Picnics

  • Special occasion receptions and potlucks

Education is critical for a growing life of faith.

The following are classes and special offerings for our members:

Nursery (Birth – Pre-K) – Caring and capable childcare is available during
the 10 a.m. Sunday morning worship service.
