*Call To Worship and Morning Prayer

One:   Music lifts our spirits and communicates directly to the heart.  We sing for joy and in praise of God.  We join our voices in harmony and melody.  It’s good!

All:      It is good to gather in God's house.  God draws us together for this time

of worship.  Whoever you are, you are welcome here in Christ’s church.

One:   God calls us to celebrate our diversity.  Differences shall no longer divide us.

All:      We want to see one another through God's eyes.  We will look for the

good in our neighbors.  We seek the highest and best for each other.

One:   For God so loved the world that God gave us Jesus Christ, so that everyone

who believes in Him shall not perish, but have life everlasting.  Feel God’s

love for you, right here and right now.

All:    We will follow in the paths where Jesus leads.  Our ears are open to

hear God's instructions, interpreted through the in-dwelling Holy Spirit.

One:   Let us now pray together the words Jesus taught his followers to say:

All:      “Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name.  Thy Kingdom come.  Thy Will be done on earth, as it is in heaven.  Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.  And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.  For Thine is the Kingdom, and the Power, and the Glory forever.  Amen.”

*The Gloria Patri (sung)

“Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Ghost; as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end.  Amen, Amen.”

Scripture:      I Corinthians 11:20-28          (found on page 998 in the pew Bible)

Service of Holy Communion

Gluten-free wafers are in the little glass bowl; bread cubes are on the tray.  Please sing “Let Us Break Bread Together” (pasted in the back cover of the Hymnal) while the bread is distributed.  When served the grape juice, we will sing “Walls Mark Our Bound’ries.”  Please hold the bread and then the cup until all are served, so that we may all eat and drink together. We will conclude with a prayer of thanksgiving.

Special Music     “Don’t Let Nobody Drag Your Spirit Down”                Wild Rose

Offertory              “Jesus is on the Mainline”                     performed by Wild Rose

*Doxology   “Praise God from whom all blessings flow.

Praise God, all creatures here below!

Praise God above, ye heavenly host!

Praise Father, Son, and Holy Ghost.  Amen”

*Unison Prayer of Dedication

We dedicate these tithes and offerings to your service, God.  Use them, and use us, to advance your purposes, we pray, in the name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Closing Song (remain seated)   “Wade in the Water”   Wild Rose  (sing along)

We give thanks to God, for God is good.  God’s steadfast love endures forever.

May we go forth in peace, extending goodwill and God’s grace to all we meet.

*Unison Response (sung)

And God will raise you up on eagle’s wings, bear you on the breath of dawn, make you to shine like the sun, and hold you in the palm of God’s hand.  Amen.  (words & music by Michael Joncas, 1979, with permission CCLI#1117-0235)
